'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Strong Side For Tonight's Premier Cup Clash

Assistant manager Steve Davis looks likely to name a strong side for tonight's Cheshire Premier Cup tie at Stockport County.

In the first round of the cup (which are effectively the semi finals) Davis could be naming the likes of Clayton Donaldson, Danny Shelley and Carl Martin in the starting 11.

The Alex are current holders of the Cheshire Premier Cup, which came into existence after the Cheshire FA decided to rid the Cheshire Senior Cup of professional league clubs.

Last season saw a Crewe Alex 3-1 win at Macc Town in the May final of the cup. Pope, Westwood and Byron Moore were on target that night.

Tonight's game takes place at Edgeley Park, kicking off at 7:45pm. Tickets are priced at 5 for adults and 3 for concessions.
