Assistant Davis Looks Forward To Rochdale Trip

Assistant manager Steve Davis believes Crewe can go and cause an upset at league leaders Rochdale tomorrow.

Despite just one win in our last seven games and little sign of improvement, despite what Dario says, Davis believes that there's a chance Crewe can upset the odds over the weekend.

The poor form seems to have bypassed both Davis and Dario these past few weeks; if not shrugging at defeats there's definite confidence there with the fans do not share.

Davis told The Sentinel, 'We've generally done better against the teams nearer the top this season, and teams have gone to Rochdale and taken points this season.

'We haven't done as well as we'd hoped in these latest home games, but Saturday can be a chance to get back on track.'

Unfortunately for Davis the stats show that we have taken just fours points from all our games against top half of the table opposition, the worst such record in the league, whilst Rochdale have lost just three home games all season.

Unsurprisingly we go into tomorrow's game as the clear underdogs, with bookies offering up to 9/2 for an Alex win.
