Goalkeeper Phillips Agrees Alex Stay

Goalkeeper Steve Phillips has today extended his loan with Crewe until May 30th.

Crewe were hoping to sign the 31 year old on a permanent basis, however he has now signed on loan for the season, with a view to a deal in the summer.

Phillips has made 9 appearances since arriving in South Cheshire, keeping just 1 clean sheet, however he has become match winner on a number of occasions, notably when he saved 2 penalties at Chesterfield.

Good news regarding Philips and at the age where experience will tell.

Extremely bad conditions and this could lead to a fixture pile up and you can bet the FA and league officals wont extend the season to cope.Could be the opporunity to get some of the injured back to full fitness. Should we have a winter break?
