Pompey Blocked From Signing Bopp
Premier League strugglers Portsmouth have been blocked from signing former Alex player Eugen Bopp and handed a transfer activity ban until the club settles it debts.
The former Alex midfielder Bopp had been due to sign terms at Portsmouth on Monday until the Premier League intervened and refused to allow Pompey to register the player.
A club insider has told the BBC Sport website that the matter should be resolved quickly, so a move to the Premiership is still a possibility for Bopp, a player not deemed to be good enough for Crewe in League 2.
Bopp will continue to train with the Premiership club in the mean time while they try to sort out their financial situation.
