Win Delights Dario

Bradford 2-3 Crewe. Dario is more than happy after an action packed game ended in an Alex victory this afternoon.

After getting off to a great start with Calvin Zola scoring twice inside the first 25 minutes it seemed like it was going to be an easier day in the office for Alex players and fans alike. Bradford however had other ideas by pulling one back just seconds before half time.

It wasn't going to let up in the second half either. Steve Schumacher capitalised on a keeper error to fire home the third against his former club after the break and all should have been wrapped up with numerous other chances. However panicky Alex defending Bradford's James Hanson to pull the game back once more, leaving us to endure a nervy end.

Thankfully we saw the game out and no one is more delighted than Dario. Speaking after the game Dario was even pondering how much Calvin Zola may fetch in the transfer market after notching up his 10th goal of the season.

'It was a really open and entertaining game and I said to Steve (Davis) afterwards that it was good to win a really great game.

'I was pleased to win the game because there were a few scary moments, but we could have scored a few more as well. The most pleasing thing is that we can still work on a lot of things and do even better.

'Zola has scored 10 goals now and has become a really valuable player for us. He is a handful for defenders and he has added goals to his game. I wonder what we could do with that £1 million he could get for him!'

Dario now prepares the team for next weekend's derby game against Vale. Who we're going to thrash. Obviously.

good result this, but you'll be back down to planet Earth on Saturday lads! 3-1 to The Vale I reckon.

Oh dear, the Vale reaching the heady heights of 14th has clearly gone to your head, you're right about 4 goals, but they'll all be Zolas.
