Gudjon Thordarson gave his views to the official site after another good 3 points were picked up at home to Macclesfield Town.
'The most important thing today was to win. We needed a win after the two defeats and we have been made to work very hard for that. Credit to Macclesfield, they came here, made it difficult for us and caused us some problems.'
'I thought there was a lot of good football from us today and in truth we should have killed them of in the opening 20 minutes. We got a good early goal through Calvin and had three or four more chances to score some more but didn't. That has to be better because we need to be killing teams off earlier.'
'Then we have made an individual mistake for their goal. We gave them a goal and David knows he shouldn't have made that journey from his box. He knows that now, we discussed it at half-time and he is the sort of character who will take that on board and learn from it.'
'Credit to Joel because I thought he deserved a goal today. He kept himself going and kept trying, as did all the players. He has worked hard and taken himself forward in a positive manner and we are all delighted for him. If we had shown that sort of quality and composure in the final third on a few more occasions it would have made things easier for ourselves.'
Gudjon only game a very brief mention to the free kick that was definatly a goal but never given. We all know he's definatly in favour for some sort of goal line technology following his comments from the contraversial Crystal Place disallowed goal.
'The credit is for my players though because even though we have hit the underside of the bar from Billy's free-kick and not taken a lot of chances, we were dangerous and still a threat and deserved to win because we never gave up.'
