Crewe keeper Adam Legzdins makes it into the Coca-Cola League 2 team of the week.
The young keeper follows in the footsteps of Congolese striker Calvin Zola who made it into the top 11 players last week.
Legzdins was dropped from the number one spot, which he held for most of the pre-season games, after gaffer Gudjon Thordarson brought it Spurs keeper David Button for a six month loan. Something most Alex fans thought was a little harsh.
With the injury to Tottenham`s main goalkeeper Gomes, Button had been recalled to act as covering keeper for Cudicini. This gave Legzdins his change to stake a claim for the number one spot.
The 22 year old grabbed his chance by keeping a clean sheet in Saturdays 1-0 win over a lacklustre Hereford side. To be honest there wasn`t much for him to do in the game, but when he was called upon he looked very assured and made a stunning save at one point to keep out Constantine early on in the game.
Legzdins somehow is still not 100% assured of a starting spot at the moment with Gudjon still unsure about bringing in another keeper on loan.
Lets hope he gets a chance to keep another clean sheet against Bournemouth at the weekend.
The team of the week also has a spot for former Alex youngster Gareth Evans.
The full League 2 team of the week is:
Adam Legzdins - Crewe Alexandra
Ryan Austin - Burton Albion
Robert Atkinson - Grimsby Town
Shaun Brisley - Macclesfield Town
Clovis Kamdjo - Barnet
Joe Colbeck - Bradford
Steven Leslie - Shrewsbury
Scott Donnelly - Aldershot
Ben Davies - Notts County
Marc Richards - Port Vale
Gareth Evans - Bradford
