'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Roberts kicked out again

Former Crewe midfielder Gary Roberts finds himself in the football wilderness yet again, his latest club Yeovil have seen the light.

This time a year ago, then Crewe gaffer Steve Holland finally lost patience with the talented midfielder and washed his hands with Roberts.

Yeovil gave him a fresh start and a chance to rebuild has shattered career and after impressing on loan the deal was made permanent in January this year.

From then on he has been on collision course with manager Russell Slade with a series of off-field misdemeanours - Sound familiar?

The final straw came in pre-season, Roberts is alleged to have turned up for a family fun day slightly intoxicated and days after the event the Chester born player was suspended by the Glovers.

Over the weekend it has emerged that Roberts has left Yeovil by 'mutual consent' and it will be interesting to see if anyone will take a gamble on troubled midfielder.
