The draw for the first round of the Johnstone Paints Trophy was made on Sky Sports Soccer AM yesterday morning.
We have been handed a home tie against Cheshire rivals Stockport and match is likely to be played on Tuesday 1st September with a 7pm kick off.
Last season, Crewe beat Macclesfield 3-0 in round 1 before losing 1-0 at Tranmere in Round 2. The competition is for league one and league two clubs only.
