Chanot Is The Next Trialist In

Maxime Chanot, a 19 year old defender is the next player to have a go at impressing Crewe boss Gudjon Thordarson.

Chanot has already played for the Alex in the closed doors friendly against a young Port Vale side and should get another run out tomorrow against a Wolves XI side.

Its going to be a hard task for the young Frenchman to win a contract, with Gudjon not signing any of the masses of trialists we`ve seen over the summer months.

Chanot can play at both centre half and full back. Somewhere we defiantly need extra cover. He has been training with Barnsley for the last 3 weeks playing in a few games for them, but not doing enough to warrant a deal.

There`s something that seems to fit with this guy though, he could be one of Gudjon`s 'signings for the future`, either that, or just added to the list of people heading out of the revolving door.
