Gudjon Looking For More Loans

Gudjon says there is still room for two or three new additions to his squad but admits they may have to be loan deals.

With 10 players departing this summer, many of them in and around the first team picture, it's left the squad a bit bare all over with only a couple of weeks to the new season.

Earlier this week saw 'keeper David Button arrive on a six month loan from Spurs whilst the only permanent moves of the close season have been former Histon pair Patrick Ada and Mat Mitchel-King.

It's no surprise that Gudjon has ear marked two or three more players to bring in, but most will be disappointed to hear that they could be loan deals - no doubt Premiership youngsters with next to no experience.

Speaking to crewealex.net, Gudjon said:

'I would like to add two or three new faces to the squad ahead of the new season. I would prefer to have them here for the friendly games against Wolves and Birmingham because it would give them a chance to settle in more.

'We may have to look into the loan market again because we are working with 18 players at the moment and need to have around 20 or 21 players in competition for a place.'
