Crewe Draw At Nantwich

A Clayton Donaldson goal earned Crewe a draw at The Weaver Stadium this afternoon in The Alex's third pre-season game of the summer.

Steve Collis was the only change to the team that beat Wigan on Thursday whilst trialists Craig Rocastle, Adam Nowland and Jonas Tor Naes were all on the bench.

It was a lively start at the rain soaked Weaver Stadium, Nantwich taking the lead through Ashley Carter before Clayton Donaldson pulled it level in the 15th minute. That however proved to be the end of the goals.

With all three trialists on for the second half Crewe failed to make an impression whilst battling Nantwich could have maybe won it on occasions.

More reaction from the game on the Vital Crewe Message Board.
