Crewe Prepare For Opening Friendly

Crewe Prepare For Opening Friendly

Crewe open their pre-season schedule today with a friendly game at non-league Newcastle Town.

Somehow Gudjon is going to cobble together a squad for this game having made just two signings so far this summer, despite countless departures.

It's expected that a host of trialists will pad out the team for the game, which kicks of later today at 2:30pm, whilst new boys Patrick Ada and Mat Mitchel-King could get their first run outs as Alex players.

With the new season just over a month away today's game will be followed by a brief break before Wigan visit Gresty Road on the 16th. We'll then be treated to quick-fire friendlies against Nantwich, Hyde, Wolves and Birmingham before the season starts on August 8th at home to Dagenham and Redbridge.

As said, today's kick off is at 2:30pm at the Lyme Valley Stadium in Newcastle-under-Lyme with tickets priced at £5.50 for adults and £3.00 concessions.
