Pope Set For Millers Talks
Fan favourite Tom Pope looks set to depart Gresty Road after a six figure offer from Rotherham is accepted. Rotherham failed in a bid to get Pope earlier this summer but have now returned with a improved offer.
Despite being a firm favourite amongst fans for his work rate, Gudjon has made clear that every player in his squad has a price and he will sell if that price is met.
Last season Pope finished the clubs top scorer with 10 goals in just over 30 appearances but still failed to hold down a regular spot in the team, with Calvin Zola usually first choice when fit.
He is now set to open talks with Rotherham whilst Gudjon can expect a backlash from fans over this particular decision.
Personally, I think six figures for Pope is silly money. Take it and run.
