Lawrence Keen To Join Crewe
Former Swansea City defender Dennis Lawrence is keen to join the Alex on a permanent deal according to his agent Mike Berry.
The big Trinidad defender has spent six months on loan at the Alex prior to Swansea releasing him earlier this month. Despite a slow start at the heart of the Crewe defence he soon showed his qualities upon Gudjon's arrival.
Being a free agent this summer it was more of an expectation at the Alex would move to make Lawrence a permanent fixture of the squad and his agent, Mike Berry, says Lawrence is waiting for the call.
Speaking to The Sentinel, Berry said: 'Crewe have been in contact to have a chat and Dennis is very keen to join the club because he enjoyed his time there.
'We talked about a contract and they said they would come back to us within the next week.'
'I would say Crewe have first refusal on him. The ball is now in their court.'
