Crewe manager Gudjon Thordarson looks set to remain at Crewe even if the alex are relegated to League 2 tomorrow.
Although Crewe still have a slim chance of survival going into the final game of the season at home to Leicester, the railwaymen look set to be condemmed to League 2 football for the first time in 15 years.
Thordarson has however already began planning for next season, as he tries to turn things around at gresty road both on and off the pitch. He told the offical club website, crewealex.net.
'I have already started planning for next season. We began that a few weeks ago and discussed budjets. We are working towards moving in the right direction and it is my aim to strengthen Crewe Alexandra both on and off the pitch.'
'It is about getting the right balance on and off the pitch. It won't be an easy job and will be challenging, but it is one i am looking forward to and we have to keep going and start the progress in the right direction.'
The ex iceland manager admits mistakes have been made since he arrived, but he says he is determind to turn it around. 'There's lots to improve. I know what I want to do. I hope I get the support to do it. No one said it would be easy, but we'll keep going.'
Thordarson admitted the club has been going downhill, but reassured the fans he wants to change all that. 'The club has been on a downward spiral now for a few years - but everyone here is determind to turn things around'
