Thordarson Gets The Nomination

Thordarson Gets The Nomination

Gudjon has been nominated for February's League One Manager of the Month award. The news comes as no great surprise to Alex fans after watching the Iceman guide us to four wins out of five last month.

His competition for the award comes from Chris Hutchings (Walsall), Graham Turner (Hereford) and Steve Tilson (Southend). It would seem, going on form, that only Tilson will challenge Gudjon for the award, with Southend also having four wins in five. However, the Alex's win in Southend just a couple of weeks ago is surely going to make Thordarson clear favourite.

If Gudjon wins the award he'll be the first Alex manager to do so since Dario won it in January 2003. That month saw us win all four league games on our way to promotion.

The winner of last month's award will be announced on Sky Sports News on Thursday at 1:20pm. Vital Crewe will bring you the news as soon as we have it.
