Broomes Extends Alex Stay

Crewe have extended the loan of defender Marlon Broomes until the end of the season.

Broomes has been a key part of a Crewe side wich has collected 9 points from a possible 15 since his arrival as Broomes has developed a strong partnership with fellow loanee Dennis Lawrence.

Broomes however will miss the final game of the season at home to Leicester City as football league rules state he is only allowed to extend his loan by another 93 days. Crewe fans however will be hoping survival is secured before facing the likely champions of league one.

Goalkeeper John Ruddy looks set to extend his loan from Everton later today.
