'If It's Football, It's Vital'

AGM Date Set

The club has set it's AGM date for March 12th, but it looks like the doors are closed to non-shareholders.

Recent years have seen the club allow non-shareholders to attend the AGM with the latter part of the evening being a fans forum. However, with no obligation to do that, this year the club have separated the two and fans will now have to wait 11 days to field their questions.

It seems a funny decision considering our position. The club made a surprising profit of £162,202 in the year ending June 2008 despite receiving half the transfer fees of the previous year.

Whilst Dario halved his pay packet to £111,943 gate receipts were down on 2007 from £674,071 to £568,257. Season ticket takings were also down nearly £20,000 to £409,183. It left total income down from £5,106,636 in 2007 to £3,790,684.

However mystery remains around the £1.2million loaned out, apparently to majority shareholder Norman Hassall, but the club seem to be making a tidy profit on interest.

So why don't the club want ordinary fans in attendance at the AGM? Something they don't want us to hear [immediately]? Can the Directions just not be bothered to face the questioning? Or is it an honest attempt to devote more time to fans?
