'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Thordarson Believes We'll Survive

After his sides 2-1 win over Tranmere Rovers, Gugjon Thordarson spoke of how he believes his side will survive relegation.
Thordasson told the offical club website how much it means not to be bottom of league one.

'It is important for us to see ourselves off the bottom. It is vital that the players see that all the hard work we are doing is paying off'

He also spoke of how he believes the Alex can advoid the drop.

'We only have a few more points to get before we can get out the relegation zone and i honestly believe we can get there '

Gudjon also had special praise for Mark Carrington, who scored his first goal for the club against Tranmere.

'I have no doubt about Mark's commitment and attitude, it was difficult at times and he worked ever so hard'.

Thordasson says he will have his players in training in the morning as he assesses his squad for the midweek fixture with Yeovil.
