Another Non-League Striker Offered A Chance

In our search for the next Luke Varney the club have invited another non-league hot shot for a trial with the club.

Chesham United striker Danny Burnell will arrive next week in an attempt of impressing the likes of Gudjon Thordarson, Neil Baker and Dario Gradi.

Burnell has scored 27 goals in just 30 games for the Midlands Division One side having finished last season with the same tally.

Chesham United manager Andy Leese confirmed the news on Chesham's official website this morning, saying:

'Danny has really developed his game this season, and deserves the chance to see if he can progress further. We will be without him for a couple of games, but we have always said we will not stand in the way of any player who has the chance to progress.'

Earlier this week Stocksbridge Parks Steels striker Jamie Vardy had a trial with the club but is not thought to have earnt himself a deal.
