It's Not Over Yet
It's hard to find the positives from a 5-1 thrashing at Northampton but let's not give up just yet.
No-one ever believed Gudjon Thordarson would turn it around within a couple of weeks. What changes he has made so far have been positive ones but he has inherited a shambles of a team, one which has consistently conceded over 70 goals over the past three years. Today showed why.
Today was a very bad day at the office, no getting away from it, but the team have to pick themselves up from it now. We came away form Northampton not too worse off than before the game. Brighton's equaliser against Cheltenham lengthened the gapto safety to five points whilst Hereford drew with Walsall to make the gap between us at the bottom 2 points.
This isn't a massive gap - certainly not the 11 points it was only a few weeks ago. It's something I keep bleating on about but it's true.
As unlikely as it seems, a win at Peterborough could tip everything on it's head. A good night on Tuesday could see us in 22nd and 2 points off 19th on Wednesday morning.
This season is far from over, there's a lot more work from Gudjon to come. Keep the faith.
