A strong 'reserve' side beat Chester City 7-0 in tonight's Cheshire Premier Cup semi-final.
Collis, Abbey, Woodards, Grant, Carrington, Zola and Pope all got a game at the Deva Stadium with Pope hitting a brace, was watched by around 300 spectators.
Two more goals from youngster Chris Clements, one from Calvin Zola, one from Joel Grant and a final goal from Byron Moore completed the rout.
With most of those who played around the fringes of the first team at the moment it really gives Gudjon Thordarson something to think about going into Saturday's game at Northampton.
The reserve side will go on to face either Tranmere or Macclesfield in the Cheshire Premier Cup final, with their semi-final held in mid-February.
Crewe Team: Steve Collis, Ashley Westwood, Scott McManus, George Abbey, Mark Carrington, Danny Woodwards, Danny Shelley, Chris Clements, Calvin Zola, Tom Pope, Joel Grant
Subs: Byron Moore, Kelvin Mellor, AJ Leitch-Smith, Luke Danville
