Occy Keeps Ireland Spot

Michael O'Connor has kept his place in the Northern Ireland squad and looks set to miss out on the trip to Scunthorpe.

The young midfielder has been a rock in the Alex midfield this season after impressive progression over the last 12 months. His form has seen O'Connor break into the senior Northern Ireland squad in recent months, winning 3 caps.

He has now been called up to face Slovenia in Maribor on Saturday 11 October, day day the Alex face Scunthorpe, and San Marino at Windsor Park a few days later.

Occy will however still be available for next week's JPT game at Tranmere Rovers.
