"I Am Pleased With How They Did Today"

Crewe boss Steve Holland spoke to the official site after seeing his side put in a good performance to gain their first away point of the season.

Steve said "I'm really pleased with the players today, they did me proud with their application in the game especially after Tuesday night. That game took a lot out of them and with it being a hot day today they did well."

"I did fear a little in the second half, I knew it was going to be difficult but to come away from home and fight for the point as we did and of course to keep a clean sheet is terrific and the players really deserved it. We looked a little more in control in the first half and the better side I thought, there keeper made some good saves from Anthony Elding and James Bailey as well. Steve Collis wasn't too busy in the first half either, and he made a really terrific save in the second half. I'm delighted with the clean sheet and to get the first point away from home too. We did look solid and dangerous at times as well, and although it is a draw it is a satisfying result."

"I couldn't have asked for much more from the players today, it has not been a bad week for us, they did well after Tuesday's game. They dug deep and come through unscathed, albeit without a win. However, like I say I am pleased with how they did today."
