Fans Want Holland Out

Our quick straw poll saw 61% agreeing that Holland should step down from his position immediately.

With just one league win from five this season, Steve Holland's position has come under intense scrutiny by fans. Poor dealings in the transfer market and poor tactics have been the biggest criticism of Holland, who was given the benefit of the doubt last season after leading the team to it's worst performance in over a decade.

Having spent £700,000 on the team, and being one of the big spenders outside the top two divisions, bigger things were expected of the club but as yet things have failed to improve on the 4-0 thrashing at home to Oldham on the last day of last season - the lowest point in Holland's short career.

With tough games now coming thick and faster - with Colchester and Southend to visit over the next couple of weeks - failure to pick up points will almost certainly see the Alex rooted to the bottom of the table and some 3-4 points adrift of safety by the end of September.

However, some fans are willing to give Holland the chance. 14% said give him till Christmas to prove himself whilst 14% would give him to the end of the season. 9% will give him a month whilst only 2% saw Holland as a long term option.

As a result, we're going to offer up a new poll. If Holland Left, Who Should Replace Him?

You can vote on the poll which can be found on the right hand column.

Don't think Crewe fans in general have been impressed by Holland yet.

Personally I'd give him till the end of next season, but my patience is wearing thin and if he can't turn around the current form then we - or he - may not have a choice.
