Carling Cup Draw This Saturday

The draw for the Carling Cup 3rd Round takes place mid-day Saturday and we're in the hat!

Having seen off Barnsley and Bristol City in the first two rounds, for many we can now only look for a 'big payday'. All the European competing teams, including Chelsea, Man Utd, Arsenal and Liverpool, will come into play for the 3rd Round after the rest of the Premiership competed in the 2nd Round. Only Bolton, West Brom & Hull from the Premiership have been knocked out thus far.

We could still be paired up with those down the road in Stoke whilst at the other end of the spectrum Rotherham United remain the only League Two club in the competition. Or maybe, having seen off Stephen Foster, Dele Adebola & Nicky Maynard we can try and go for the clean sweep with Rob Hulse's Derby or Dean Ashton's West Ham?

For now though, we sit and wait. After all, it could still be a depressing trip to Hartlepool that is our reward for two fantastic results in the cup so far.

The draw is made on Saturday around 12pm-12:15pm live on Sky Sports 'Soccer Saturday'. Stick with Vital Crewe as we'll have the new live on the site within seconds of the draw being made.
