'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Bristol City Had A Dopey, Posey Game

Bristol City gaffer Gary Johnson was happy enough to accept that Crewe deserved tonight's 2-1 victory.

Goals from Elding and Moore helped the Alex to defeat their Championship opponents, with the West Country side only managing a consolation from defender Brian Wilson.

Having fielded his strongest side, that is currently 3rd in the Championship, Johnson was rightly expecting to progress into the third round of the Carling Cup but now feels he made a mistake.

Speaking to BCFC.co.uk, Johnson admitted:'Maybe I made the mistake of playing the same team after they put in all that effort on Saturday.

'At the end of the day Crewe played better than us and deserved it. We didn't get going until the last ten minutes and it was too late then.

'We're disappointed, the lads are disappointed but we need to work hard to make sure we don't have a dopey, posey [sic] game again.'
