Crewe 'Fed Up' With Roberts

Steve Holland says he's fed up with Gary Roberts after the midfielder missed another training session.

Having been disciplined twice, transfer listed and been awol for much of the summer, Gary Roberts's future at the Alex looked bleak up till last week. On Thursday it looked as if a break through had been made when the 21 year old promised to return and fight for his place.

However, Roberts failed to turn up for the Hull City friendly on Saturday afternoon and has since failed to turn up to training. It now looks as if Roberts's time at Crewe will be coming to an end in some way.

Holland told the official club website, crewealex.net, that he's fed up with Roberts, as are his team mates.

Holland said: 'He didn't attend the first team match on Saturday, the only squad member not to do so, and he hasn't been into training since. He hasn't notified anyone at the club on why he was absent, so it is not a good sign and you can say I am fed up.

'We will sit down and he will have an opportunity to explain himself. With his track record the signs do not look good, so we will come up with the best way to take things forward with him.

'We have given him chance after chance and it is something we have to deal with because the players are getting fed up with him as well now.'
