Livermore Suffers Fractured Fibula

Jake Livermore, on loan from Tottenham Hotspur, has fractured his fibula. The 18 year old left the pitch during the first half of last night's friendly at Wrexham. An x-ray today confirmed the fracture.

Livermore now faces 3 months on the sidelines, half of his 6 month loan deal at Crewe which he signed under two weeks ago.

Holland had earlier expressed his delight at signing Livermore, a player Tottenham believe will progress all the way to their first team. Holland told the Crewe Guardian:

"We`re getting a super athlete who can also play and has a record of getting goals.

"From what we`ve seen so far, he`s better than we expected.

"He`ll make a difference."
