Carlisle Move In For Elding
Carlisle United are looking to scupper Crewe's bid for Anthony Elding according to reports in Yorkshire. The Yorkshire Post says Carlisle have placed a bid for the former Stockport striker this week.
Elding has previously turned down the Alex twice. In January he snubbed a move in preference to joining Leeds before turning the Alex down again earlier this summer when personal terms couldn't be agreed.
However, it is said that Steve Holland is still keen on doing the £150,000 deal with Elding and is still in regular contact with the striker and his representative (former Crewe striker Lee Matthews).
Last week Leeds United manager Gary McAllister revealed that 'another' bid had been received for Elding, who has been told he can leave Elland Road.
