'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Captain Baudet

Julien Baudet won fans approval to be team captain for the 2008/2009 season with a whopping 58% of the Vital Crewe poll vote. The former Notts County defender played vice captain to now retired Neil Cox last season.

Earlier in the week Steve Holland admitted that the Frenchman was his only consistent centre back, kinda stating the obvious when the other centre backs are Danny O'Donnell and Chris McCready.

On the Vital Crewe poll, which ran for a week, new signing, and absolute beast, Calvin Zola came up second with 7% of the votes. Maynard, Steve Collis, Chris McCready and fan favourite Ben Rix all tied in 3rd with 6%.

Playing catch up was Michael O'Connor (4%), whilst 4% also wanted another option, who wasn't listed. Surprisingly Steven Schumacher only received 3%.

This weeks poll is 'Will Nicky Maynard Be At Gresty Road Come September 1st?'
