'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Roberts Packing His Bags... Maybe

Gary Roberts may finally get his wish. After a few tantrums and childish acts, his ticket out of Crewe may have arrived today. Steve Holland has revealed that interest has been shown in the midfielder but no fee has been agreed as yet.

The 21 year old has been the subject of disciplinary action twice in the last 12 months for separate reasons. After having such a negative effect on the team since Steve Holland took the managers role on last summer, the club have been left with no choice but to get shut. He's been on the transfer list for the past month.

Despite being one of the better players in the Alex side in recent seasons, it's unlikely fans will shed a tear over Roberts's departure.

Roberts has recently been linked to Blackpool, Leicester & Cardiff and Holland today admitted that a Championship club is now showing firm interest. Speaking to superalex.co.uk Holland said:

'There has been interest in Gary without anything being agreed yet.'

The fee for Roberts is likely to be anywhere between 150,000-250,000 as only 12 months remain on his current contract.

So, fingers crossed we'll be shut of Roberts sooner rather than later.
