Crewe Duo Play 45 Minutes

Crewe's international duo Steve Jones and Madjid Bougherra both played the second half of their countries' friendlies last night. David Vaughan, however, failed to make the Wales bench as they played out a goalless draw at home to Paraguay.

Jonah replaced Northern Ireland's goalscorer Ivan Sproule for the second half as Northern Ireland beat Estonia 1-0. The margin should have been greater, however, as Steve Jones missed a golden opportunity to bag just his 2nd international goal after blazing over from close range.

Algerian international Madjid Bougherra, meanwhile, replaced Abderraouf Zarabi for the second period as they were also held to a goalless draw by Burkina Faso in Rouen.
