Second Signing Of The Summer Tomorrow?

Local press in Bournemouth suggest that Shaun Cooper will become a Crewe player tomorrow.

The 24 year old midfielder is said to have made his mind up on his future this week and will pen a two year deal with Crewe, despite being offered a chance to stay at Bournemouth next season. He was offered a contract at Gresty Road as early as May but a move up North wasn't to be taken lightly by Cooper.

Cooper, a product of Portsmouth's academy, will arrive on a free transfer and become the Alex's second summer signing after Adam Legzdins signed earlier this month.

The versatile midfielder, who can also play in defence, has played well over 100 games for Bournemouth after signing for the Cherries from Portsmouth in 2005.

With all the turmoil still surrounding Bournemouth I am not surprised he's decided to stay in League One.

Was a good kid at Pompey but would never have made the Premier League - good luck Shauny.
