Crewe Kick Off Against Brighton

&datebackcFor the second consecutive season Crewe Alexandra will play host to Brighton on the opening day of the season.

The Alex started last season (07/08) with a 2-1 win over the south coast club, despite Nicky Maynard breaking his leg just 20 minutes into the game.

The first away trip of the 08/09 season will be up north to Carlisle United, last season's play-off losers. An away trip to Leeds is also on the cards early as the Alex travel to Yorkshire on September 6th.

There will be a home game for Boxing Day at the Alex. Oldham Athletic visit before a trip to Hartlepool two days later.

Cheshire rivals Stockport County will visit Gresty Road on November 22nd whilst a trip to Stockport will be the Alex's last away game of the season on the 25th April.

The last game of the season will be at home to Leicester City, recently relegated from the Championship.

09/08/2008 - Crewe vs Brighton - 15:00

16/08/2008 - Carlisle vs Crewe - 15:00

23/08/2008 - Crewe vs Walsall - 15:00

30/08/2008 - Hereford vs Crewe - 15:00

06/09/2008 - Leeds vs Crewe - 15:00

13/09/2008 - Crewe vs Colchester - 15:00

Looks like quite a hard start to the season for you. A lot of games against either fancied or promoted sides.
