'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Woodards And Roberts Transfer Listed

Both players have contracts with the club until 2009 but their reluctance to sign new deals has prompted the Alex to transfer list them both.

The refusal of a new contract by Gary Roberts and his subsequent transfer listing will come as little shock to Crewe fans, but the news about Woodards is more a surprise.

Both were two of Crewe's more consistent performers last season despite our abysmal final league position and have no doubt been transfer listed with regret by the club.

Crewe will now hope to cash in sooner rather than later on the young duo as they continue to search for more players to strengthen an ailing squad.
