Alex Agree Fee For Elding

Crewe Alexandra have agreed a fee to sign Anthony Elding from Leeds United.

The 26 year old signed in January for Leeds for an undisclosed fee after rejecting a deal to move to the Alexandra stadium electing to help United in their push for promotion to the Championship.

The former Stockport striker only managed to make 9 appearances for Leeds since they landed him in the January transfer window with his only goal coming in a 2-1 defeat against Cheltenham Town.

During his time at Stockport in the earlier part of the season he was in tremendous form with 15 goals to his name, bringing his total at the Hatters to 26 goals in 42 games.

Talks will now commence between Elding and the management at Crewe Alexandra as they will hope to close the deal early next week.

Excellent news. Really excellent news. Hopefully we'll be swift and tie it up before others take an interest.

I wish him all the best, he never got a chance at leeds. He scored 4 in 4 for the reserves but couldn't really get into the first team. I will put money on him scoring on his return to Elland Road!
