Baker: We Are Busy

Assistant manager Neil Baker says despite a quiet front, the club are busy trying to tie up deals with their list of targets.

The club are still yet to make their first summer signing, coming closest when goalkeeper Greg Fleming snubbed Gresty Road in favour of Oldham Athletic.

The management however are still very much in talks with other targets, with Livingston's highly rated youngster Robert Snodgrass the most recent to visit Reaseheath Training Ground for talks.

Neil Baker says that whilst the management are saying very little on transfer activity, fans can be rest assured that they are still speaking to potential signings.

'We may need to invest some money. You can't keep bringing in free transfers and expect your team to improve,' Bakes told BBC Radio Stoke

'The management and the board have sat down and are looking ahead as to how we can improve the team,'

'We're active at the moment. We have spoken to a goalkeeper, two strikers, a midfield player and two wingers. Even though we're not giving away names, we are busy.'
