A striker with Premiership links, who's faced our academy as a youngster and would require a fee. He's also at the very top of Steve Holland's wish list this summer. But who could it be? We could say who cares, but the site needs updating with something so let's continue our 'scouting'.
Paul Gallagher
Current Team Blackburn Rovers
Age 23
Position Striker
This Scotsman came through the Blackburn academy and has played over 50 games for the Lancashire club, but 07/08 saw him frozen out of the side. He first impressed in a long loan spell with Stoke City in 05/06, scoring 11 goals in 37 appearances, but has failed to recapture that form entirely since. last season he spent most of the season on loan at Preston North End and scored just the one goal, and didn't impress the PNE faithful too much. Just before the end of the season he returned to Stoke City on loan to help them secure a Premier League spot. He's tall, at over 6ft, but not your typical target man and could be a bit out of reach in terms of quality.
Tom Craddock
Current Team Middlesbrough
Age 22
Position Striker
Craddock is one of many to have recently come through Middlesbrough's fantastic academy. He opened his professional contract on loan at Wrexham in 2006 before getting his Premier League debut with Middlesbrough last season when he played four games between September and October. He also had a month's loan at Hartlepool United in February/March but failed to score after finding it hard to break into the Pools team. Relatively small at 5ft 11in, he may or may not be what Holland is after. The ex-defender may still be looking to progress with 'boro.
Andrew Barcham
Current Team Tottenham
Age 21
Position Striker
Barcham is a player Steve Holland knows well and even attempted to sign the Spurs striker before his loan move to Orient last season. One of Lee Barnard's former team mates, Barcham is just as highly rated in the Spurs reserves. However, it does not look too likely that he will make the grade in the Premier League and a drop to League One may be seen as beneficial. A small pacey player who can also play out wide, he's not the perfect solution to the forward line problems. In his loan spell with Orient he managed just 1 goal in 15 league games.
