Four Players Get The Chop

Holland has made his first moves in post-season by releasing four fringe players. The expected departures of Mat Bailey, Ryan Lynch, Junior Brown and Nick Farquharson have been confirmed by the club today.

Bailey signed in 2005 having been released by Stockport. Originally in line to be the big centre forward, his failure to progress saw Dario Gradi extend his contract last summer with the thought of turning him into a centre back. That, however, was as much a disaster as many thought it would be. Bailey spent the last part of the season on loan to Wemouth.

Full back Ryan Lynch signed a 12 month contract last summer after being released from Coventry. A awful first team debut against Chester in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy spelled out his future early. He spent some time on loan at Altrincham earlier in the season.

Junior Brown and Nick Farquharson are both youngsters to come from the academy. Brown has been on the bench frequently in the past but has failed to progress after time on loan at Witton. Farquharson also started the JPT game at Chester but after time on loan at Nuneaton Borough, the club have decided not to extend his contract.
