'If It's Football, It's Vital'

It's no cause for celebration

Steve Holland doesn't believe that League One safety tomorrow will be a cause for celebration. The first team coach says it'll be a feeling of relief before celebration.

The Alex have had a torrid campaign having started pre-season last year with high hopes. However, they've spent much of the season at the wrong end of the table and still require a point from tomorrow's final game of the season to be absolutely sure of League One football next season.

'It's no cause for celebration, it'll be a relief.' Holland told the Crewe and Nantwich Guardian.

'We know we need to improve the team and we'll only be celebrating when we've got a team capable of being more competitive at the other end of the league.'

Coincidentally, it was the subject of a message board post on Vital Crewe this week. What's your view? Will you be celebrating should we avoid relegation tomorrow?
