Occy Signs On

Michael O'Connor has extended his contract at Crewe Alexandra by another year after signing improved terms.

The Northern Ireland midfielder has impressed fans and management in the latter half of this season with his battling performances. Despite missing much of the season to various injuries he has managed 23 appearances this term.

Today he extended his current contract to 2010 after signing improved terms. He has become the second player today to extend their contract at Gresty Road after George Abbey also extended his till 2010.

Occy is currently suffering with a groin injury that looks set to keep him out of the final game of the season at home to Oldham on Saturday.
