Abbey Signs Two Year Extension
George Abbey will now remain at Crewe until 2010 after signing a new two year contract with the club.
Abbey has made 22 appearences this season for the Alex and has impressed enough in his first season to warrant a new deal.
With regular injuries crippling Crewe's back four this season Abbey has filled in in every position but has excelled most when playing in his favoured position of right full back.
Abbey has proved to be a versatile member of the Crewe squad with great experience and a cool head so it's no surprise the club have moved to get him signed up for the next two seasons.
