Crewe Still Chase Morison

Newspaper reports suggest that Crewe are looking to sign Stevenage Borough striker Steve Morison. The rumour is not new though and it is it known that Technical Director Dario Gradi has been to Stevenage to watch the 24-year-old in action recently.

However, reports also say that the Alex will face competition from Championship side Plymouth Argyle for the striker who has 22 goals to his name this season.

It is thought Morison, who scored in a 2-1 win over Halifax yesterday, is out of contract this summer and with Stevenage missing out on the play-off spots in the Blue Square Premier, a move could well be on the cards.

Earlier this week Steve Holland revealed that strengthening for next season has already begun and the club have made last minute 'checks' and identified possible targets.
