We have asked Vital Bournemouth editor DJ to answer a few questions for us as part of our ask the editor feature before Saturdays game.
How has your season been in your eyes?
To be honest, the off the field issues with our club have been far more important than the on the pitch battles, so if our takeover is completed soon and our immediate future is saved then it will have been a great season!
Did you expect to be involved in the relegation battle?
During pre-season our Chairman was claiming that anything below a 12th place finish would be a disaster, whilst new signings such as Perrett and Telfer talked up our chances of promotion. But as soon as we had played a couple of games in the league it was obvious that our attentions would be in the bottom half of the league and as soon as administration was announced relegation was almost accepted.
Is there an end in sight for the clubs takeover?
Your guess is as good as mine! At 20.07 on Monday evening, there are currently two bidders, neither of which have handed over the deposit to the administrator. Tomorrow one could be accepted, then rejected and the other one could be accepted (that has already happened!) Or they could both join forces and then fall out (yes, that's happened too) or one could be accepted but then fail to pay the money before the deadline...(yes you've guessed it, we've been there as well!)
Earlier in the season you thrashed us 4-1 at Gresty Road, what did you think to that game?
I didn't get to that game so cannot really comment on the match itself, however the result, I thought was just a blip in our otherwise consistent form (it was our only win in 10 games at the time!)
Which players should we watch out for on Saturday?
All of them! 5 wins a row has given the fans hope of a sensational great escape. The whole side is playing without fear and for each other at the moment, right through the side we have Forde in goal who has won us games with his saves, to the defense which has worked well as a unit, Maxi Gradel and Danny Hollands in midfield, to Vokes and Kuffour who have been picking up the goals up front.
Have you got any key injuries?
Both our professional 'keepers are injured, hence why we have Cardiff 'keeper Forde on loan, while Maxi Gradel might be missing on compassionate leave.
How's your recent form been?
15 points from our last 5 games
Who do you think will join Luton & Port Vale and be relegated from League 1 this season?
Our terrible form at the beginning of the season, coupled with the 10 docked points from administration will probably see us join them along with Gillingham. Our only hope is to make it 7 wins in 7 and hope Cheltenham continue to slide.
Who do you think will be promoted along with Swansea?
Doncaster and Leeds
Where do you think Crewe will finish in the league?
I think your win against Cheltenham has been enough to clinch safety.
Finally, what's your prediction for Saturday`s game?
I don't do predictions! But we have to win...
