Bopp Could Be Told To Hop It

Eugen Bopp could leave Crewe Alexandra this summer after a disappointing first season after arriving on a free from Rotherham.

Some good things were expected or the former Forest midfielder but the Ukrainian failed to break into the first team despite many chances. It split fans over whether he was good enough but a awful performance in his last start for the club against Forest in March pretty much put an end to his first team chances, with only one brief substitute appearance since.

In January Bopp was told he could leave the club on a free if he could find a new club, but nothing materialised. Steve Holland has now revealed that there is interest in Bopp and he will sit down and discuss the midfielder's future with him soon.

Holland told crewealex.net: ''As we are out of the transfer window, he cannot sign for another club but a club in Scotland and one in Kiev were keen to have a look at him.

''We will sit down with Eugen in the next few weeks and see where we go from here in terms of his long-term future. He has been a superb professional and there are no complaints on that score.''
