Patrick Boyle Heads Home

Loanee defender Patrick Boyle has returned to Everton after his loan spell at Gresty Road. Boyle arrived in January to cover for the injured Billy Jones at left back and in four months made 17 league appearances for the Railwaymen.

Crewe Alexandra assistant manager Neil Baker has praised the 21 year old for much of his loan spell with the club. Baker told crewealex.net: 'Patrick has done alright for us. He settled in quickly, improved but then lost his place.

'He had a couple of below par performances and was left out after the Luton game, but he came back into the side and he has done well recently.'

Boyle will now be looking at his future with parent club Everton and it is thought that he will be released once his contract expires this summer.

Baker also confirmed that Billy Jones will return to the side for Saturday's trip to Bournemouth.
