Occy Offered New Contract

Michael O'Connor has been offered a new contract despite having more than 12 months left on his current one. The new deal comes after the midfielder put in some fantastic performances recently and broke into the Northern Ireland squad.

However, doubt still remains over the 21 year old's fitness. Currently out with a groin strain, O'Connor has made 58 appearances since breaking into the side three years ago - and only 17 appearances this season after a series of injuries.

O'Connor's current contract expires in the summer of 2009.

Meanwhile, defender Ryan Lynch is set to extend his loan at Altrincham. The former Coventry left back has already spent a month at Moss Lane but now looks to see out the season by extending till April 26th.
