Match Gillingham And Stay Up

Steve Holland is preparing his side ahead of a crucial final five games of the season. With Gillingham just one point and one position behind in 21st it truly 'squeaky bum time'.

Holland believes his players have what it takes to come through the final five games outside of the relegation zone knowing that as long as the Alex match Gillingham's record in the final games then Crewe will stay in League One.

Speaking to crewealex.net, the official site, Holland said: ''We can only determine our own fate by getting the results we need. If we do as well or better than Gillingham then the one point and our goal difference will be enough. That is the bottom line. The players know we have got to match or better Gillingham's results to stay up.''

Saturday sees a massive game at Millwall as 21st placed Gillingham face 19th placed Millwall, with us, sandwiched between them, facing the form side of the division in Southend.
